Tint / Permanent Colour
Used primarily for
covering grey hair or lightening hair between 1 and 3 levels. Your
hair will need to be re-coloured between 4 and 6 weeks as a regrowth
will appear. The ends will also need to be refreshed.
Semi Permanent
Used for livening hair
colour while conditioning. Deposits colour which gradually fades
between 4 and 6 weeks. Cannot be used for lightening hair. There is no
obvious re-growth and your hair is left in fabulous condition.
Foils / Meshes / Weaving
A technique for adding
colour to hair whether it is lightening or darkening or both. Fine
weaves of hair are placed in a package with either a permanent,
semi-permanent or bleach. The choices are endless and the results
spectacular.
Splices
Sections of hair placed
in packages to give a bold and enthusiastic colour.
Ballyage
This technique is the
combing on of colour whether it is permanent, semi-permanent or
bleach. It is a freehand application of colour delivered to specific
pieces of hair . Used primarily on short cropped hairstyles or men.
Bleaching
At Salon Scalone, we
pride ourselves on our ability to provide the perfect blonde.
Attention to detail is essential with no overlapping of colours which
can result in breakage. All prices for bleaching include toners if
necessary. P.O.A.
Bag Highlights / Streaks
At Salon Scalone we use
Wella shrink caps specially designed to contour to each client's head.
Used primarily for lightening hair with only one colour. Being a
plastic bag and not a rubber cap the process is virtually painless and
the results are closer than foils.

Perms / Body Waves
Also known as permanent
waves. This process chemically alters the shape of your hair to the
contours of a perm roller. A body wave uses a larger sized roller
which gives the impression of a wave rather than a curl. Commonly used
for giving volume to a hairstyle. A misconception of many clients is
that a perm or body wave will give a solid uniform curl like a hot
roller set. This is not so. Permed hair usually will give the
impression of a natural curl - not uniform and slightly dishevelled.
